How to play Chinese Chequers
Goal
Be first to move all ten of your marbles into the opposite point of the star.
How to play
- Each player starts with ten marbles in one point of the star.
- Move one marble one step to a neighbouring hole, or hop over any marble to the empty hole beyond.
- Hops can be chained in one turn; nothing is captured.
- You play first; the other players are computers (or a friend in the 2-player game).
How it ends
Fill the opposite point to win. After 40 rounds, marbles that never left home and sit in your target count as yours. Your score is the number of moves you made, and lower is better.
Controls
Phone: tap a marble, then a highlighted hole.
What changes in each version
2 Players (you against the computer or a friend), 3 Players and 6 Players (against computers).
Tips
- Hop along chains of marbles for long jumps.
- Bring up the back marbles so none are left behind.
Play-Ready differences
The anti-blocking rule after 40 rounds is a Play-Ready rule; there is no 4-player version.
