These games are for a group in the same room with one phone or tablet. In charades a player acts or describes the word on the screen while their team guesses. In would you rather everyone votes as the phone goes round. In twenty questions the group asks yes or no questions to find the hidden thing.
Riddles and quick quizzes work well read out loud, with the fastest answer winning the round. A few board and arcade games take turns for up to four players on one device, such as the race game Home Run, snakes and ladders and Chain Reaction. There is no preparation, nothing to buy and no sign-up, and the games keep working offline at a party or a sleepover.
